Projects

You can find a mixture of some of my University, work, and personal projects below.

Formula Student - Team SURTES

University of Surrey

During my final year at University, I worked as part of Team SURTES to design, test, and manufacture an electric-powered Formula Student Racecar. I was a member of the powertrain team and focused on the design of the sidepods and the radiators they contained, which cooled the motor and inverter.

Parametric CFD Study of Heat Transfer Using Plate Fins within Electric Ducted Fans for Future Aerospace Propulsion.

University of Surrey

For my final year dissertation at University, I chose to focus my research on one of the problems that would need to be solved to allow electric flight. The project involved a full literature review and CFD study to determine the best cooling system for an aircraft powered by electric ducted fans.

ABB Robot Catalog

Rockwell Automation - Emulate3D

The new Robot Framework in Emulate3D acts as an internal solver for any robot or machine, marked up using the CAD Is The Model Aspects. To enhance the user experience I created a full Emulate3D catalog of marked up ABB robots. These can be used for simulation using the Robot Framework or for emulation by connecting to ABB RobotStudio.

C# Sim3D Plotting Catalogs

Rockwell Automation - Emulate3D

Sim3D is a powerful tool for sizing and dimensioning material handling systems. The process would often require users to create their own C# components to capture and output data.
To reduce the Sim3D entry barrier I created 2 plotting catalogs containing multiple types of graphs for collecting and displaying common data types.
